25 Days of Christmas Tags - Day 25

I have some different ornament stamps, so I used them to make these tags:

The round ornament is from the Gina K. Designs Merry & Bright stamp set, and was cut out with the coordinating die. The other two are from the Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments stamp set and were fussy cut. They were all stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

The sentiments are from the Gina K. Designs Christmas Joy stamp set, and were stamped with  Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added some gold cord behind the ornaments and through the hole in the top of the tag.

Red and White Tag Card

This month, the Gina K. Designs Monthly Mix Challenge is called Tag on a Card, and it is also a Red and White colour challenge.

If you saw my post from yesterday, you will recognize the tag. I did change the sentiment to one from the Gina K. Designs Sentimental Holiday stamp set. I used the Gina K. Designs Sassy Stripes stencil to make the background. I don't have the Gina K. Designs Cranberry Tart ink, but when you combine  Coral Reef and Plum Punch ink it makes the Cranberry Tart colour!

The sentiment is white heat embossed on Cranberry Tart cardstock. I cut out the star and scored from each point to the center.

On the white card base, I used an embossing folder from Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine, by Jennifer Ellory from 2015. I attached the tag using some foam squares.

Here are the tags I made:

The snowflakes are from the Gina K. Designs Seasonal Sentiments and Sparkling Snowflake stamp sets, and are stamped with Gina K. Designs Sea Glass, Lovely Lavender, and Powder Blue ink. I also stamped some of the snowflakes with VersaMark and heat embossed them with a Lilac Sparkle embossing powder. It's hard to see the sparkle in the picture.

The sentiment is from the Gina K. Designs Holiday Frame stamp set and is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

So I was inspired to make this tag:

I used the Gina K. Designs Sassy Stripes stencil to make the background. I don't have the Gina K. Designs Cranberry Tart ink, but when you combine Coral Reef and Plum Punch ink it makes the Cranberry Tart colour!

The sentiment is white heat embossed on Cranberry Tart cardstock. I cut out the star and scored from each point to the center. I added the ribbon and it is sitting on another piece of Cranberry Tart cardstock.

The snowflakes are from the Gina K. Designs Sparkling Snowflake stamp set and are embossed in silver. The snowman is a cut file that I found on my computer, but it didn't say where I got it! I cut it with my Silhouette Cameo and coloured it with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Holiday Frame stamp set and is embossed in white. To add some sparkle, I added some Pretty Pink Posh Starry Sky Mix embellishments.

I made the background by stamping different images all over the tag. Then I did the spotlight technique, colouring the images inside an oval shape, and leaving the rest uncoloured.

Grateful card

This week, the Mod Squad Challenge is called So Grateful. We have to make a card with the word Grateful on it. I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Thanks/ Thanksgiving.

I decided to use some of my patterned paper on my card. I sometimes find that I don't want to use it, because it's so pretty! However, I saw Gina K. use some recently on one of her Stamp and Chat videos, and was inspired to make this card.

The paper is from the Gina K. Designs(GKD) Give Thanks patterned paper pack, and I layered it onto some GKD Fresh Asparagus cardstock.

I used the circle and a sentiment from the GKD Autumn Wreath Builder stamp set. Using my MISTI, I stamped the circle with GKD Fresh Asparagus ink. I lined up the sentiment and stamped it with GKD  Jet Black Amalgam ink. I cleaned the stamp and then stamped again with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I used a Cottage Cutz Stitched Circle die to cut it out.

I attached the two patterned paper panels to a white card base and then popped up the sentiment with some foam squares.

I didn't have a stamp for the sentiment, so I used my Silhouette Cameo to write it with a gold marker.

I stamped the image with my MISTI, coloured it, and then stamped it again with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. 

After I coloured the background, I stamped and embossed the star.

I used my MISTI and wreath builder template to stamp the snowflake circle. The snowflake is from the 

Gina K. Designs Seasonal Sentiments stamp set and was stamped with Gina K. Designs Powder Blue ink.

I stamped the sentiment, from the Gina K. Designs Made With Love stamp set, with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. To give a bit of sparkle, I added a heart sequin over the O in Love.

I was inspired to make this tag:

For my ornament, I cut a circle out of Canson XL Recycled Bristol watercolour paper, and used the Spellbinders heirloom ornament stamp set for the sentiment. Using my MISTI, I stamped it in Gina K. Designs Red Velvet ink, cleaned off the stamp and then stamped again with VersaMark ink. Then I heat embossed it with an Opalescent embossing powder to give some sparkle.

The greenery is a stamp from the Gina K. Designs Wishing You Joy stamp set. I stamped it with Gina K. Designs Whisper Amalgam ink, which is very light. Then, I used a water brush and 'painted' Gina K. Designs Red Hot and Grass Green ink over it for the leaves and berries. I added a red bow at the top.

25 Days of Christmas Tags - Day 11

 

Birch Press Design is the sponsor for Day 11 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags. They have beautiful layered dies, but I don't have any. However, I was able to create something similar.

I used a cut file for a snowflake and made a few adjustments to create two layers. I cut one out of silver glitter paper and one out of white, using my Silhouette Cameo machine.

I blended a few colours of Gina K. Designs ink onto the tag: Ocean Mist, Turquoise Sea and Tranquil Teal. The sentiment is from a die from STAMPlorations - Peace, Love, Joy. I added a piece of white ribbon and the tag was done.
