Thank You card for Gina

The Mod Squad Challenge this month is focusing on thanking their sponsors. This week, we are to make a thank you card and send it to Gina K., of Gina K. Designs. I took my inspiration from some of Gina's Stamp and Chat live videos.

I used the following supplies:
Gina K. Designs: Natural Silhouettes, Layered Daisies stamp sets
Red Velvet, Tangerine Twist, Wild Dandelion, Jelly Bean Green, Blue
                                     Raspberry, Wild Wisteria ink
                             Jet Black Amalgam ink
Jelly Bean Green, White layering weight cardstock
masking paper, blending brushes, clear embossing powder

Since it was going to be mailed, I didn't add any embellishments. I mailed the card a couple of days ago, but I'm in Canada, so it might take a while to reach her!

Anniversary card

I needed to make an anniversary card, and thought it would be a perfect time to use some sentiment strips and enter the August Gina K. Designs Monthly Mix Challenge.

All the supplies are by Gina K. Designs, unless specified.

I used the new Large Wreath Builder template to create the image, using the Mandala Maker 2 stamp set. The sentiments are from the Rose Peonies and Woodland Friends stamp sets, and are stamped with Jet Black Amalgam ink, Jelly Bean Green and Wild Wisteria ink.

I matted the sentiment strips with Jelly Bean Green cardstock and some white cardstock that I coloured with Wild Wisteria ink, using a blending brush.

I coloured the image with some Staedtler markers and added a few unbranded rhinestones for some sparkle.

Scor-Pal August More Than One Score

It's hard to believe that another month has gone by and it's time for another Scor-Pal More Than One Score ChallengeThis month, the theme is Birthdays, or you can make an Anything Goes project as long as it follows the general rules.

Each month we will have a different theme and you will have a month to create and enter your projects. As well as the theme you will need to make "More Than One Score" and tell us where you used the Scor-Pal on your project. So a single fold card won't count but an Easel, Gatefold, Stair Step, etc, will :) Also we love to see your "Anything But a Card" projects, just as long as you make "More Than One Score".

This month, I made a Pinwheel Tower birthday card.

To make this card, you will need:

1 piece of cardstock 5 3/4" x 4 1/4"
3 pieces of cardstock 2 3/4” x 4 1/4”

To decorate it, I used:
Pink cardstock: 3 pieces 2 5/8” x 4 1/8”
Recollections Garden Florals paper pad: 3 pieces 1 3/4” x 4 1/8”, 3 pieces 2 1/2” x 4”
Gina K. Designs Birthday Blessings stamp set
              Innocent Pink ink
clear embossing powder
2” circle punch
Cottage Cutz Stitched Circle die

Start with the 5 3/4" x 4 1/4" piece of cardstock. With the 5 3/4" side at the top of your Scor-Pal, score at 3/4", 1 1/2", 2 1/4" and 3”. Crease all of the folds.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment before punching it out and layering it on a pink circle. I took a picture of all the pieces, except I forgot the smaller patterned paper pieces.

Fold the scored piece so that it forms a square, and use Scor-Tape to attach it together. I attached the pink pieces and the larger patterned paper pieces to the 2 3/4” x 4 1/4” pieces before taping them to the base. Then attach the smaller patterned paper pieces to the card.

Here is a look at the other three sides.

The card folds flat so it fits in a regular A2 envelope.

If you make a project with more than one score, you can enter the challenge and you might win a gift certificate to the Scor-Pal store!
