A Pop of Colour

This month, the Gina K. Monthly Mix Challenge is to make a Black and White card with a Pop of colour.

For my card, I used the Gina K. Designs(GKD) Summer Silhouettes stamp set, stamped with GKD Jet Black Amalgam ink. For my pop of colour, I used GKD Turquoise Sea ink.

I layered this with black cardstock, and then mounted it on a white card base.

This was a quick and easy card to make!

July Scor-Pal More Than One Score

I can't believe another month has gone by! It's time for another Scor-Pal More Than One Score challenge. I made a patriotic card, and since I live in Canada, it's for today, July 1st!

To make this card, you will need:
5 1/2" square piece of cardstock
additional cardstock or patterned paper and embellishments to decorate

On the square piece of cardstock, from one corner measure 3 1/4" down each side and make a small mark. On your Scor-Pal, score from one mark to the bottom corner, and repeat on the other side.

I used a marker to mark the 6" groove on my Scor-Pal. I find it easier to score pieces like this one, when the cardstock is not along the top of the board.

Fold the two sides in to meet at the middle. Then you can decorate it as you like.

I used Scor-Tape to add a piece of red cardstock in the middle section, and added a removeable piece of white cardstock. I had a Silhouette Design Store file, by Cuts and Prints, which I cut out with my Silhouette cameo and used these to decorate both pieces. To fasten the two flaps, I added some eyelets and some baker's twine.

Happy Canada Day to my Canadian readers, and Happy 4th of July to my US readers!
