This card is called a Diagonal Joy Fold and is fun to make!
To make this card, you will need:
Cardstock: Heavyweight for the base 5" x 10"
Lightweight for the small card 3" x 6"
Decorations and embellishments
Step 1:
Place the 10" side of the heavyweight cardstock at the top of your Scor-Pal and score at 5". Crease along the score line, open it back up and lightly make a pencil mark from the top center to the bottom left.
Cut along the pencil mark with scissors, or use a paper trimmer. Place the lightweight cardstock in your Scor-Pal with the 6" side at the top, and score at 3".
With the diagonal side of the base on the right hand side, add stencilling or patterned paper. I used the Gina K. Designs Ornamental Fan stencil with Powder Blue ink, and masked off the left hand side so I wouldn't get ink there.
Crease and fold the score line on the small card. Open it back up and turn it over. On the right hand side, add Scor-Tape. Decorate the left hand side as desired. I used the same stencil as the front, and used Blue Sky ink. Then I stamped the images from the Penguin Palace (now Sunbird Spark) Hedgehogs in Love stamp set, coloured the hedgehogs with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, and cut the images out with the coordinating dies. I then popped them up with some foam tape.
Step 4:
I added a piece of cardstock on the inside of the base, measuring 4 3/4" square. Center the small card on the inside of the base. You can check the placement by folding the triangle side over. It should line up with the top left and bottom right of the small card. You can make a small mark at the corners to show where it will go. Remove the tape liner and adhere it in place.
Here is the card fully open. I decorated the inside of the small card with some more stamps from the Hedgehogs in Love set and a bit of bling over the 'i' in anniversary.
