Fall Flower

I have another card for the STAMPlorations October Stencil challenge

I used a blending brush to add Gina K. Designs(GKD) Sweet Mango ink through the GKD Harvest Flourish stencil. I didn't like the way it looked, so I added some GKD Warm Cocoa ink, but I shifted the stencil over a bit, so the Sweet Mango showed through like a shadow. I added this to a GKD Dark Chocolate panel, adhered some velvet ribbon, and attached it to a white card base.

The flower comes from the GKD Zenflowers stamp set. I stamped it with my MISTI in GKD Dark Chocolate ink, cleaned off the stamp and then stamped it again with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it in clear. I love how the MISTI lets you stamp in exactly the same position multiple times! I used Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers: CT4, GB4, GB6, GB7, EB4 and EB5 to colour the flower.

I cut out the flower with the coordinating die and added it to a piece of Dark Chocolate cardstock, cut with a Cottage Cutz Stitched Circle die. I used some foam tape to attach it to the card.

I used the MISTI to stamp the sentiment, from the GKD Especially for You stamp set, with Dark Chocolate ink. I find with delicate sentiments, I like to stamp it twice so I don't put too much pressure on it and spread out the delicate lines. I rounded two of the corners and added it to a Dark Chocolate layer before taping it to the card.

Since I used the MISTI, I am entering this in the Splitcoaststampers MISTI Monday challenge - Fall Theme. I am also entering it in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.

Happy 7th Birthday

As you can see from the image, STAMPlorations is having a belated birthday celebration! I made this card to bring them birthday wishes.

STAMPlorations also has a Stencil challenge, so since I used a stencil I will enter that.

They also have an ongoing Anything Goes challenge, which you can enter when you use one of their products on your project. I'll be entering that, too!

I used the ARTplorations All Blooms stencil with some Gina K. Designs ink: Warm Cocoa, Dark Chocolate, Prickly Pear, Honey Mustard and Sweet Mango, to make the background. I added this to a brown layer before attaching it to a white card base.

For the sentiment, from Gina K. Designs Rose Peonies, I cut out the circle with a Cottage Cutz Stitched Circle die and added a bit of the color that was still on my blending brush. Then I used my MISTI to stamp the sentiment with Dark Chocolate ink. I cleaned off the stamp and stamped again with VersaMark ink before heat embossing with clear embossing powder. I used a 2" circle punch for the brown layer.

I used some foam tape to attach the sentiment and then added some rhinestones for a bit of bling. It is a party, after all!

Since I used fall colours, I am entering this in the My Sweet Petunia Facebook challenge - Fall theme. I am also entering it in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.

Colour Blocking Technique

The Gina K. Designs Monthly Mix Challenge for October is Color Blocking. We need to have blocks of colour on our card. I am also entering this in the Splitcoaststampers MISTI Monday challenge - Cards with a Fall theme that we actually mail!

I decided to mask off areas and use a blending brush to add Gina K. Designs (GKD) ink - Honey Mustard, Sweet Mango, Prickly Pear, and Dark Sage.

I used my MISTI to line up my leaves, from the GKD Autumn Silhouettes stamp set, and stamp them with VersaMark ink, before heat embossing them in gold. I also lined up and stamped the sentiment, with GKD Dark Chocolate ink.

I added the front panel to a GKD Dark Chocolate layer before attaching it to a white card base. I added a few sequins to finish it off.

Triple Pumpkins

The Mod Squad Challenge - Hello Pumpkin asks us to have a pumpkin or pumpkins as our focal image. Here is the card I made:

I used the new Gina K. Designs Haunts and Harvest stamp set for the pumpkins and sentiment. The pumpkins are actually one stamp with one coordinating die, so after I stamped them with Gina K. Designs Kraft ink and coloured them with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers OR1, OR2, BO2, and BO4, I die cut them and then carefully cut them apart with scissors.

It's hard to tell from the picture, but the white panel has some Gina K. Designs Sweet Mango ink blended on it. It looked like it needed a bit of something! I attached a piece of patterned paper from the Give Thanks patterned paper pack to a white card base and added the white panel. I used some foam tape to add the pumpkins and then taped the sentiment, which was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut out with a Gina K. Designs Decorative Label Set die. I used one of the markers to add some colour to the edge of the sentiment.

October Scor-Pal More Than One Score

Here we are again at the beginning of another month! It's time for another Scor-Pal More Than One Score Challenge. This month, the theme is Harvest or Halloween, or you can make an Anything Goes project.

Each month we will have a different theme and you will have a month to create and enter your projects. As well as the theme you will need to make "More Than One Score" and tell us where you used the Scor-Pal on your project. So a single fold card won't count but an Easel, Gatefold, Stair Step, etc will :) Also we love to see your "Anything But a Card" projects, just as long as you make "More Than One Score".

I made a 3D pumpkin, which could be for Harvest or Halloween.

I didn't have a pattern for a pumpkin, so I used this pattern for an icosahedron.
https://www.goldennumber.net/bucky-balls/

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the design, and used my Scor-Pal to score all the lines. Then I realized that I would need some tabs to attach it together. I cut some small rectangles out of some scrap cardstock and attached it using Scor-Tape. The Stacker made it so much easier to add the Scor-Tape onto the design, as it held the tape, so I had two hands to work with.

Having assembled some of the 3D Papercraft from Scor-Pal, I found it fairly easy to attach all the tabs and make the sphere.

Then I needed some leaves and a stem. I used the Gina K. Designs Rose Peonies stamp set for the leaves. I stamped them with Gina K. Designs Whisper Amalgam ink and coloured them with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers DG2, DG3, and DG4. They weren't exactly the right shape for a pumpkin leaf, so I filled them in a bit.  For the stem, I just took a piece of cardstock, coloured it with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers MB1, MB3, and MB4, and folded it into a square tube. I cut small slits in the top, folded them in and glued them. For the bottom, I cut small slits and folded the tabs out. I taped it to the top of the pumpkin with some Scor-Tape, and also added the leaves with more tape.

The pumpkin is not very big, since I started with an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock. If I had used a 12" x 12" piece, I could have made it bigger. It is very cute, though!

Now it's your turn to make something with more than one score. You might win a gift certificate to the Scor-Pal store!
