The two challenges that I made this card for are the StampTV Kit Addicts Color challenge and the StampTV MIUM Just a Touch challenge. I am also entering it in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes.
For the color challenge we were to use the Gina K. Designs colours Jelly Bean Green, Turquoise Sea and Christmas Pine. We could also use neutrals and an accent colour. For the Just a Touch challenge we were to use a touch of red on our cards.
I decided to make a corner fold card. Starting with a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of white cardstock, I scored at 4 1/2" to make my card base. On the front of the card I measured 3" from the top right corner in both directions. I scored between the two points and folded it to the front. I cut a piece of Jelly Bean Green cardstock to fit the front, repeated with a piece of patterned paper and adhered them both to the card base. Then I cut a piece of Jelly Bean Green to fit in the corner and a piece of white cardstock to layer on top. On this piece, I stamped two flowers using masking paper, the flower stems and the sentiment. I coloured in the flowers and sponged around the edge. For the Christmas Pine colour I used the Spectrum Noir Marker that Gina has on her colour match table.
I adhered the corner down with some strong tape and layered on the focal image and mat.
Materials used:
Gina K. Designs: Sending Love patterned paper and stamp set
Jelly Bean Green cardstock
Red Velvet and Jelly Bean Green ink
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Spectrum Noir: alcohol markers IB1, IB2, JG1, JG7
Ultra Smooth Premium white card stock
Inkadinkado masking paper
Sookwang tape
