Stencilled Background

The final challenge for World Cardmaking Day on StampTV was to use a stencil to make your background. I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes.

I stencilled the background using a few colours of ink. I decided to cut off a piece so that I had a place to stamp my sentiment. I added a piece of brown cardstock along the edge and matted the background with the same colour. I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with a sparkly powder. It is hard to take a good picture but I think you can see the sparkle. I used an ivory card base and added a few sequins to finish it off.

I used these supplies:

Gina K. Designs: Ivory, Dark Chocolate and Prickly Pear cardstock
Applemint, Grass Green and Prickly Pear ink
                             Birthday Blessings stamp set
Hampton Art stencil
Versamark ink
mix of Recollections Tinsel Vintage Mahogany and Stampendous Clear Bark embossing powder
sequins
