CASEd Card

The MIUM challenge this week on StampTV was to CASE a card made by Karen Hightower. CASE is an acronym for “Copy And Share Everything”. We were to go through Karen's gallery, pick a card that inspired us and make a card that looked similar but with at least two changes. For example you can change colour and stamps used. I CASEd this card:

Happy Birthday

This is my card:

I decided to change the stamps, patterned paper and colour.

I selected my patterned paper and stamps then selected matching Wild Lilac cardstock. I trimmed the patterned paper to just under 1 1/2 inches and matted it with Lemon Drop cardstock.

I placed the patterned paper pieces onto the purple cardstock to see where I wanted to position the sentiment and then stamped it. I removed the patterned paper pieces, stamped the butterflies with Versamark ink and then stamped over the Versamark with white pigment ink offset a bit.

I cut a piece of ribbon, adhered it to the purple cardstock and popped up the patterned paper pieces with some foam squares. I attached this to a white card base and added a few purple rhinestones.

Supplies used:
Gina K. Designs: Lemon Drop and Wild Lilac cardstock
                             Wild Lilac ink
Sending Love patterned paper and stamp set
                             Birthday Blessings stamp set
Versamark ink
ColorBox white pigment ink
white cardstock, ribbon, rhinestones, foam squares from my stash
