It's time for the Scor-Pal More Than One Score December Challenge - Any December Holiday. I give a few gift cards for Christmas and I like to make something to put them in. I saw a gift card holder in a video by Gina K. It comes in two parts and you can see them
here and
here.
To make the gift card holder, start with a piece of cardstock 4 1/4" x 10". With the 10" side at the top of your
Scor-Pal, score at 3", 4", 5", and 8". Round all 4 corners. Cut patterned paper as follows:
For the outside: 2 - 2 3/4" x 4"; 1 - 1 3/4" x 4".
For the inside: 2 - 2 3/4" x 4"; 1 - 1 3/4" x 4"; 2 - 3/4" x 4".
Lay the patterned paper on the corresponding sections of the cardstock. Round the corners of the end pieces and attach all the pieces. With the outside facing up, place
Scor-Tape on the edge of the two 1-inch sections, as shown in the picture.
Fold along the score lines, making a valley fold between the two 1" sections. Remove the backing of the Scor-Tape and adhere the two sections. Cut off the very top edge of the taped section. This gives you a piece that sticks up and the gift card goes in between the two pieces of cardstock.
To finish it off, wrap a piece of ribbon around the folded up holder, adhere with a Glue Dot and attach a small medallion to cover up where the ribbon joins.
I hope you'll join the challenge this month. You just have to have more than one score on your project and follow the theme - any December holiday. You could win a $25 gift certificate to the
Scor-Pal store!
