June Scor-Pal More Than One Score

We're at the beginning of the month, which means a Scor-Pal More Than One Score Challenge! For the month of June, the theme is Masculine or Father's Day, or you can make an Anything Goes project as long as it follows the general rules.

Each month we will have a different theme and you will have a month to create and enter your projects. As well as the theme you will need to make "More Than One Score" and tell us where you used the Scor-Pal on your project. So a single fold card won't count but an Easel, Gatefold, Stair Step, etc, will :) Also we love to see your "Anything But a Card" projects, just as long as you make "More Than One Score".

There are lots of tutorials on the Scor-Pal website. This time I found one for a wine box. You can find it Here. It holds a small bottle of wine.

To make this box, you need a 12" x 12" piece of cardstock, a 1" x 8 1/2" piece of cardstock, your Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape and The Stacker. Then you can use patterned paper, stamps and other embellishments to decorate it.

Start with your 12" x 12" piece of cardstock, and score at 2 ½", 5 ½", 8", and 11". Turn the cardstock to the right and score at 2 1/2". This marks the bottom of your box. Cut along the score lines up to the 2 1/2" mark, and on the 11" score line, cut off the bottom flap. Crease along all the score lines and add tape along the edge flap and three of the bottom flaps. You'll notice in the picture that I put tape on all four bottom flaps. To fix my mistake, I just added a piece of patterned paper on the bottom!

I added the patterned paper to the front and back of the box. I stamped the wine bottle, coloured it, cut it out with a die and used the same die to cut out the shape from blue cardstock. Then I cut the blue cardstock in half and layered it behind the wine bottle layer.

To add the handle, I used a couple of brads. You can move the handle to get the wine bottle in and out.

I hope you will join us this month and play along with our challenge!

  2. What a fabulous project! Love the colours! I liked the way that you pulled one of the stripe colours out of the patterned paper for the handle.
