Pop-up card

I made this card for a friend. She loves pop-up cards, so I thought I would make one for her. I am entering this in the StampTV Monthly Mix challenge - Kindness and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - Layer it up.

Here is what the inside looks like:

I started by making the pop-up element that I found on Pinterest. Using yellow paper, I cut out the flowers and then flicked the middle and edges with a regular marker. I attached them together and set them aside.

For the front of the card, I stamped the flowers after I had stamped off on a sheet of scrap paper. This made them a lighter colour, although they look quite bright in the photo. I punched them out and sponged the edges. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with a die.

I embossed the front of a white card base with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I fastened some ribbon around the top of a piece of patterned paper and adhered this to the bottom half of the card base. I popped up the sentiment and the flowers with some foam squares.
