Spinner card

This week I made a card for the StampTV MIUM challenge - Spinner Card. I am also entering it in the Mod Squad Blog challenge - Anything but Christmas, the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge - Start Afresh and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - New Something.

I haven't made a spinner card before and I haven't used the 'birthday wishes' stamp before so I have 2 new things.

I started with a white card base and punched the opening for my butterfly to spin. I stamped the flower and leaves and coloured the flower with alcohol markers. I stamped the butterfly on a scrap piece of cardstock, cut it out and coloured it.

I sponged the top of the card and stamped the sentiment. Using two pennies and a foam circle, I attached the butterfly so it would spin. I attached a piece of cardstock with some foam tape to cover the back, so you can't see the spinning mechanism.

I enjoyed making this spinner card and will probably make more in the future.

Supplies used:
Gina K. Designs: Birthday Blessings, Massive Messages stamp sets
                             Coordinating butterfly die
                             Grass Green, Lipstick ink
Bazzill Basics Simply Smooth White cardstock
Stampin' Up! Word Window punch
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers: OR1, OR2, OR3, GB7, CR10, DR2, DR6, CG4
pennies, foam circle and foam tape from my stash

  1. You did a wonderful job of showcasing your butterfly so that it pops out no matter where it is on the slider. I know it's simple, but I particularly like the background.
