Spotlight card

This card was made for the StampTV MIUM Spotlighting challenge. In this technique, only a part of the image is coloured. I am also entering it in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes.

I started with a piece of white cardstock and stamped the butterflies and flowers to make a background. I cut a circle from a piece of paper and using that as a mask, coloured the images inside the circle. I sponged lightly inside the circle with some blue ink.

I die cut the oval with the slits, stamped the sentiment and sponged around the edges. I threaded the ribbon through and attached it to the background after it was matted with blue cardstock. I then attached it to a white card base.

I used the following supplies:

Gina K. Designs: Sending Love stamp set
                         3/8" Black Onyx ribbon
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Spectrum Noir: Ultra Smooth Premium White card stock
                      Alcohol markers: BP2, BP4, BP7, LG3, LG5, CT3, GB7
Stampin' Up! Bashful Blue ink
Provo Craft die
VersaFine Onyx Black ink
Blue card stock and foam squares from my stash
