Pop up Birthday card

On the Mod Squad Challenge Blog this week, the challenge is to make a pop up card. I searched online for pop up cards and I found this birthday cake card from Kirigami Arts.

I printed out the pattern and coloured part of the cake. Then I cut and scored the lines on the pattern with a knife and folded all the score lines. I glued the coloured part on top of each layer, folded the card and let it sit overnight.

I used a Recollections punch to punch the top of the cardstock and stamped the Stampendous sentiment and sayings in Kelly Green Ink it Up! ink. It didn't come out well in the photo. I taped the card front onto a green card base.

All my stamps were from Stampendous so I assume this still qualifies for the extra entry, since the image was from the YouTube pattern.

If you are interested in the pattern you can see it on YouTube here: The link to the pattern is in the comments.

  1. I was so amazed when I saw this card in the challenge. I adore that beautiful cake. You certainly are artistic and did a wonderful job on this.

  2. That is a lot of folds:-) Turned out great. Thank you for joining in at the Mod Squad Challenge! And yes it qualifies for 2 entries:-)

Thank you for your comments. I appreciate each one.
