Gate Fold Card

There are a few birthdays coming up that I need to make cards for so I thought I would use one for a challenge. On the Mod Squad Challenge Blog we are asked to make a gate fold card. Here is what I came up with.

I started with a piece of white cardstock, scored and folded it and stamped the flowers and leaves on the front. I cut the two scalloped ovals and stamped the focal image. I stamped the sentiment and sponged the edges of all the white layers. I attached the focal image with tape, matted the sentiment and attached it with some foam squares.

I thought the card front needed something so I matted the whole card with some green cardstock.

Supplies:

Gina K Designs: Green Grass cardstock, Love and Prayers and Birthday Blessings stamp sets
Ink: VersaMagic Chalk ink - Spring Pansy, Aloe Vera
Dies: Spellbinders Nestibilities Big Scalloped Ovals Small and Large

  1. This is a creative birthday day card that the recipient will love. I really like how you matched the focal image and the background flowers. The soft colors go great the Grass Green card stock. A great job on this challenge. Thanks for joining us this week. I hope to see you here more.

  2. I love gatefold cards and love the pretty flowers on yours. You picked wonderful colors too. I was too busy and now too tired to join in the fun, but maybe I can next week. Lol
