National Scrapbooking Day

So this was National Scrapbooking Day so there were many contests and challenges. I decided to enter a card in the Studio Calico challenge to use a stamp that was still in the package.

I also wanted to make another card for the Mod Squad Challenge One Layer Wonder.  I decided to try to make a scene using ink sponging. People who make videos showing how to do this, like Theresa Momber, make it look so easy. I don't think I will ever be that good but here is the card.

I used the stamp set Trees by InkaDinkado that I hadn't used before.  I used the following inks:  Martha Stewart - Dandelion, Melon, Blue Sky and Bamboo; Stampin' Up - Brilliant Blue and Cajun Craze; Recollections Pigment Ink - Chestnut; Fiskars Pigment Ink - Chocoholic and Pamass Pigment Ink - Green. The sentiment and cardstock are from my stash.

Thanks to Gracie I am also entering this in the challenge Hiding in my Craft Room - Use Critters.

  1. This is a great card to commemorate National Scrapbooking Day. It would fit perfectly one of our 5 challenges for our NSD celebration at Hiding in my Craft Room . com : Use critters.

  5. Dawn, I'm back, this time representing my DT. This is a lovely scene card, you layered all those stamps neatly. Very clever sponging technique too! Thanks for joining our 4th challenge for National Scrapbooking Day at Hiding in my Craft Room.
