It opens up from the sides to reveal the inside panel.
To make this card, you will need:
Cardstock: 5 1/2" x 10 3/4" for the card base
2 1/4" x 3 1/4" and 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" for the 2 front panels
2 3/8" x 3 3/8" and 2 7/8" x 3 7/8" for the 2 front layers (I used black)
3 1/2" x 4 3/4" for the inside panel
3 5/8" x 4 7/8" for the inside layer (I used black)
Foam tape or squares
Stamps and embellishments to decorate (I used Gina K. Designs products: Harvest Flourish stencil with Sandy Beach ink for the pattern on the pieces, Sending Love stamp set with Obsidian Amalgam ink for the front sentiment, Watercolor Floral Ephemera pack for the flowers and leaves, Peaceful Violets and Happy Bouquet stamp sets with Obsidian Amalgam ink for the inside sentiment along with the Happy die with shadow layer)
Step 1:
Using the cardstock for the card base, place the 10 3/4" side at the top of your Scor-Pal and
score at 1 5/8" and 9 1/8". Turn the cardstock over and score at 3 1/4" and 7 1/2".
Step 2:
Decorate your inside and outside panels, and tape them to the coordinating layers.
Fold your card base along the score lines, hiding the bump inside. Tape the inside panel in the middle of the card base.
Step 4:
Tape the larger panel on the left hand side of the card base, making sure to apply tape only to the left side of the panel. Place it so the panel covers the top of the inside panel.
For the smaller panel, line it up where you want it to be, covering the bottom of the inside panel. Make a small pencil mark on the card base at the right edge of the panel, remove the panel and place some foam squares or tape on the card base. This will lift the panel so that the left panel can slip underneath when the card is closed. Erase the pencil mark.
Step 5:
Decorate the panels. You could decorate the inside panel before you attach it, since it will be flat.
When you are decorating the front of the card, make sure that you only attach items to the panels or you won't be able to open the card!
When you close the card, the left panel will slip between the right panel and the folded card base.
