I needed a card for a 90th birthday celebration, so I decided to make a side step card.
To make this card, you will need the following:
Cardstock: 1 piece 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
Craft knife and ruler
Decorations and embellishments to add to the card
Step 1:
Place your Scor-Mat in your Scor-Pal, with the gridded side up. On the piece of cardstock, with the short side on top, make a mark at 2 3/4" on the top and bottom. The grid on the Scor-Mat is very helpful for this. Using a ruler and knife, cut at the 2 3/4" line, from 1 3/4" to 7 1/2".
Step 2:
Remove the Scor-Mat, and turn your cardstock 90° to the left. Score from the top down to the cut line at 1 3/4", 3 1/2", 5", 6 1/2" and 7 1/2". Rotate the cardstock 180° and score at 4 1/4" down to the cut line.
Step 3:
Hold the cardstock with the 4 1/4" score line on the left. On the right hand side, make a mountain fold at 7 1/2", 5" and 1 3/4", and a valley fold at 6 1/2" and 3 1/2". On the left side, make a mountain fold at 4 1/4".
Step 4:
Decorate your card, as desired.
I used the following:
Front and Back panel: 2 pieces of white cardstock, 4" x 5 1/4". Gina K. Designs (GKD) Light Orchid ink, GKD Harvest Flourish stencil.
Number circle: My Favorite Things Vanity License Plate stamp set, GKD Master Layouts 3, GKD Dark Orchid ink.
Flowers and Leaves: GKD Flower Medley stamp set, stencils, and dies, GKD Light, Medium and Dark Orchid, Lovely Lavender, Plum Punch, Jelly Bean Green and Lucky Clover inks.
Sentiments: Honey Bee Stamps Inside Birthday stamp set and dies.
Beautiful card and great side step design!
