My project this month is a fun fold card.
It stands up when displayed, and folds flat to fit in an envelope.
To make this card, you will need:
Cardstock: 5" x 10" (I used 100 lb to make it sturdy)
Stamps, inks, patterned paper, cardstock to decorate
Step 1:
With the 10" side of the cardstock at the top of your Scor-Pal, score at 2 1/2" and 5". Make a mark at 7 1/2" on the top and bottom edges. Score from the mark at 7 1/2" on one side to the 2 1/2" score line on the other side. Repeat for the other mark. You will have an X scored, with the center on the 5" score line.
Turn the cardstock so that the 5" side closest to the 7 1/2" marks is at the top. Make a mark at 2 1/2". Draw a line from each 7 1/2" mark to the 2 1/2" mark, and then cut along this line. You will have the shape shown below.
Step 2:
Fold along the score lines, making a valley fold at the 2 1/2" and 5" lines, and a mountain fold along the two diagonals.
Step 3:
Decorate as desired.
I used the Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set for the focal image and sentiment, stamped with Stampin’ Up! So Saffron, Peach Parfait, Pumpkin Pie, and Poppy Parade ink. I cut it with a 3 1/8” Cottage Cutz Stitched Square die and layered it with a 3 1/4” square layer.
I decorated the bottom rectangle area with a piece of 2 1/4” x 4 3/4” cardstock and stamped it with the flower outline stamp in a matching colour to give a tone on tone pattern.
