April Scor-Pal Project

This month, I have a project called Bread Box. You can use it to hold a small loaf of bread, or sweetbread. It is a great way to give a little gift.

Supplies:
8 1/2" x 11" piece of heavy cardstock (I only had a white piece, so I sponged some colour on one side.)
patterned paper to decorate (2 pieces 2" x 2 3/4", and 2 pieces 2" x 5 1/4")
decorative scissors, or decorative strips of paper for 1/2" sides
ribbon

Step 1: Place the cardstock in your Scor-Pal and score at 2 3/4" on each side. If one side is coloured, place it up when you are scoring. Flip the cardstock over, and score at 1/2" on each side.

Step 2: Referring to the picture, cut along the solid lines to cut off the corners and create the tabs on the ends.

Step 3: Fold along all the score lines, placing the bump inside the fold.

Step 4: Add patterned paper to the sides. You can cut the edges of the 1/2" pieces with decorative scissors, or add a decorative strip of paper. This is on the underneath of the paper, but you can see it on the finished project.

Step 5: Add Scor-Tape to the flaps, remove the backing, fold the flaps in, and bring the end up to make the box.

Step 6: Decorate your mini loaf as you wish. I tied a ribbon around mine, but you could also add a tag, or a die cut or punched image. You can also tie a ribbon around the box for a festive look.
