This month, I made a Pop-Up Stand Alone Card.
To make this card, you will need:
Cardstock: 5 1/2" x 11" for the base
4 1/2" x 5 3/8" for panel front
4 5/8" x 5 1/2" for panel back
Stamps, patterned paper, etc. for decorating
Step 1: Place the 5 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock in your Scor-Pal, with the long edge at the top. Score at 1", 2 3/4", 3 3/4", 5 1/2", 7 1/4", 8 1/4" and 10".
Step 2: Cut a slit 5/8" from both sides on the 5-1/2"
score line for your panel. You can make the slit as wide as you like, so that your panel will fit through.
Step 3: Fold along all the score lines, away from the crease, and add Scor-Tape to the two end panels.
Step 4: Decorate your panel. I used Gina K. Designs Foil Mates: Where's the Party, Birthday Bash and Birthday Essentials, foiled with Sweet Mango, Glittering Green and Deco Foil - Gold.
Step 5: Slide the panel through the center of the slit, remove the backing paper from the Scor-Tape and attach the panel to the end flap, which has been folded in.
You can embellish further, if you like. I added a piece of sparkly paper from my stash to the front of the base, and decorated the back of the panel.
The card can fold two ways. 1. Tilt the panel back and fold the front of the base back. You will need a larger envelope to hold the card.
2. Pull the slit up over the panel and fold flat. This will fit in a 5 1/2" square envelope.
What a novel idea! Love it!
