Mandala Birthday card

I have one more card for the final Mod Squad Challenge - Anything Goes.

Since this challenge is sponsored by Gina K. Designs, I am using all Gina K. Designs products, except the rhinestones, which are from my stash.

I used the Wreath Builder template and the Mandala Maker and Mandala Maker 2 stamp sets to make the background, inking them up with Tranquil Teal, Turquoise Sea, Ocean Mist, and Sea Glass ink. I coloured parts of the designs with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers IB1 and IB2. I layered the panel with a piece of Turquoise Sea cardstock before adhering it to a white card base.

The sentiment was taken from the Lovely Lilies stamp set and stamped with Tranquil Teal. It was cut out with a Cottage Cutz Stitched Circle die and popped up with some foam squares. I added a few rhinestones that I coloured with the IB2 Spectrum Noir alcohol marker.

Rainbow Sympathy card

I needed to make another sympathy card this week, so I went with a rainbow design.

I used Gina K. Design Red Hot, Sweet Mango, Sweet Corn, Jelly Bean Green, Powder Blue, and Wild Wisteria ink for my rainbow colours. Then I stamped the silhouette and the sentiment, both from the Gina K. Designs Natural Silhouettes stamp set, with Gina's Jet Black Amalgam ink.

I layered the front panel on a piece of black cardstock before attaching it onto a white card base.

I am entering this in the Mod Squad Challenge - Anything Goes. Sadly, this is the last challenge as they are closing the blog and group. Thanks for many fun years of challenges!

Brew-tiful Day

I made this card for the Penguin Palace Challenge #12, which is a sketch challenge!

I made the background using the Penguin Palace Kaleidoscope Stencil 360° and Gina K. Designs Ocean Mist, Bubblegum Pink and Wild Wisteria ink. I mounted this on an Ocean Mist card base.

The cute image is from the Penguin Palace Rabbit Cafe stamp set, stamped with Gina K. Designs Jet Black Amalgam ink, and coloured with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I added it to an Ocean Mist layer and popped it up with some foam squares. The sentiment is also from the Rabbit Cafe stamp set.

I hope you have a Brew-tiful Day, with a lovely cup of coffee or tea!

April Scor-Pal More Than One Score

A new month means a new More Than One Score Challenge at Scor-Pal!

Each month we will have a different theme and you will have a month to create and enter your projects. As well as the theme you will need to make "More Than One Score" and tell us where you used the Scor-Pal on your project. So a single fold card won't count but an Easel, Gatefold, Stair Step, etc, will :) Also we love to see your "Anything But a Card" projects, just as long as you make "More Than One Score".

You can follow the theme, or you can make an Anything Goes project as long as it follows the general rules.

I chose to make a one layer Easter card, since it is coming up in a few weeks.

I started by masking off the bottom of a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of white cardstock. Then I used blending brushes to ink up the background, and stamped the crosses over top. I added the sentiment at the bottom.

Using my Scor-Pal, I made two score lines above the image and two below. I also scored at 5 1/2" for the fold line. Then I turned the card over, and scored along the lines above and below the image. This way, the score lines stick out on the front of the card.

I used the following supplies:
Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps: Jesus Paid It All stamp set
Gina K. Designs: Jet Black amalgam ink
Wild Dandelion, Sweet Mango, Innocent Pink, Ocean Mist, and Blue Denim ink
Scor-Pal

I was looking for ways to use this stamp set, and found a card by Korin Sutherland, from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I used her card as the basis for mine.

I hope you will play along with the challenge. All the details can be found on the Scor-Pal blog.
