Thank you card

The new Painted Autumn StampTV kit was released this week. The release party challenge is to create our own background paper. I am also entering this card into the StampTV MIUM challenge - Pop it Up and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - It's Hip to be Square.

I started with a piece of white cardstock, stamped the flowers and leaves, matted it with some Grass Green cardstock and attached it to a white card base.  I stamped the sentiment and cut it out. I realized I didn't have enough of the Grass Green to mat the sentiment so I used some patterned paper. I did have enough scraps of the Grass Green to cut out the bow. I stamped an extra flower on a scrap of white cardstock, cut it out and popped it up with a foam square.

I used the following supplies:
Gina K. Designs: Made with Love and Square Pegs stamp sets
                             White and Grass Green cardstock
                             Grass Green ink
                             Delicate Essentials patterned paper
Stampin' Up! Peach Parfait and Daffodil Delight ink
VersaFine Onyx Black ink
Creative Memories Oval cutting system
Spellbinders Nestibilities Big Scalloped Ovals Small
Multi Bow die (in with a magazine)
foam square

Sketch Card

There is a year long challenge at StampTV.  We have to make a card for each week's challenge. I was away last week so this is my entry for the Sketch Challenge so that I can be entered into the year long challenge.

I decided to turn the sketch on its side. I punched the edges of a piece of Wild Lilac cardstock and layered a piece of patterned paper on it. I stamped the flower, butterfly and sentiment on a piece of white cardstock. I coloured the images and matted the panel. I adhered the patterned paper panel to a white card base and added the focal image panel with foam squares.

Materials used:
Gina K. Designs Sending Love and Art from the Heart stamp sets
                            Wild Lilac and White cardstock
                            Sending Love patterned paper
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Spectrum Noir alcohol markers: HB2, CT1, CT2, CT4, CG1, CG3
Recollections punch

Back to School

This week's challenge on StampTV MIUM is Back to School. We have to make a card with a back to school theme.

I looked through my stamps and realized the pencils were perfect for a back to school theme. Using my homemade stamp positioner I stamped a row of pencils. I then stamped the sentiment. Then to make it match the theme I cut out the word 'school', highlighted the edge and popped it up with foam tape.  I coloured the pencils and trimmed the panel. I used a piece of patterned paper for the background, added the pencil panel, and using a Glue dot attached a button with some baker's twine threaded through it and made into a bow. I put all this onto a white card base.

Materials used:
Gina K Designs Art from the Heart and Square Pegs stamp sets
                           Delicate Essentials patterned paper
                           White cardstock
                           button from a grab bag
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Spectrum Noir alcohol markers: GB2, GB3, FS3, CR2, PP3
Staedtler Fineliner Black marker

50th Anniversary card

I have a card for the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge - Celebrate! and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - Fabulous Florals.

I needed a card for a 50th Anniversary so I decided to make a card with some dimensional flowers. I stamped, cut out and coloured the three fuchsia flowers. I shaped them and glued them together.

I stamped the fuchsia background and coloured it. I took a piece of green cardstock, cut an oval out of it and scored a diamond pattern. It's hard to see the pattern in the picture. I stamped the sentiment, cut it out and cut a mat for it.

I attached the background to the front panel, attached it to a card base, attached the sentiment with some foam tape and glued on the fuchsias.

I used the following products:
Heartfelt Creations: Cascading Fuchsia and Fuchsia Clusters stamp sets
Gina K. Designs Sending Love stamp set
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Spectrum Noir alcohol markers: JG1, LG5, LG3, PP6, BP4, BP1, PL4, PL2, PL1
Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White cardstock
Creative Memories Oval Cutting System
Green and Pink cardstock, foam tape from my stash
Martha Stewart Scoring Board

Pierced card

This card is for two challenges - StampTV MIUM - Piercing and Mod Squad Blog - Bordered Sentiment - No Flowers.

I don't have any piercing templates so I decided to use the inside of a die for my piercing shape. I taped the die on the cardstock and pierced the corners first. Then I filled in the 4 sides, hoping my spacing was right so that I would end up with an even space at the corner. I think I did fairly well. I used a smaller die in the set to cut out the middle.

I stamped the sentiment, masked it and stamped the background. I stamped over the piercing which makes it a little hard to see in the picture. I scored a line above and below the sentiment to set it off. I stamped the focal image onto the card base and attached the front panel with some foam tape.

Supplies used:
Gina K. Designs: Turquoise Sea and White cardstock
Art from the Heart stamp set
                             Blue Lagoon ink
Stampin' Up! Sizzix Window Frame Framelits
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
