Inspired card

This is a card I made for the StampTV MIUM challenge - Let's Get Inspired. We were given this photo for inspiration.

I decided to use the colours for inspiration as well as the black stripes on the vase. This is what I came up with.

I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes.

I used some Sookwang double sided tape on a white card base to make the glitter stripes. I stamped the flowers and leaves and matted the panel with some pink cardstock. There are three layers on the flowers but it's hard to see in the photo.
I stamped the sentiment, rounded the corners and popped it up with some foam tape. I used Sookwang tape to adhere the panel to the card base so it would stick to the glitter.

I used the following supplies:
Gina K. Designs: Painted Autumn, Sending Love stamp sets
Ink: Innocent Pink, Bubblegum Pink, Passionate Pink, Jelly Bean Green, Grass Green
                       Bubblegum Pink cardstock
Sookwang 1/2" tape
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
EK Success corner rounder
Black Glitter, foam tape, white and black cardstock from my stash

Flowers and Dots

Today I have a card that I made for the StampTV MIUM challenge - Flowers and Dots

I stamped the flowers with VersaMark ink and heat embossed them in black on the back of a piece of vellum. I coloured them with alcohol markers, using some bright colours so they would show through to the front. On the front, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment. I coloured some pearl dots with the markers to match the flowers. After they were dry I adhered them to the front of the vellum and then carefully used glue where it wouldn't show to attach the vellum to a pink card base.

Supplies used:
Gina K. Designs: Art from the Heart, Fabulous Frame stamp sets
                          Bubblegum Pink cardstock
VersaMark ink
Spectrum Noir alcohol markers: BP1, BP2, BP4, BP7, GT2, GT3
Tombow glue
Pearl dots, black embossing powder from my stash

Beautiful Day

I made a card today for a challenge on the Altenew blog. We were given a picture to give us inspiration. We could use the colors, composition, elements, texture, or any combination to create our project.

I decided to use the colours as my inspiration.

I stamped the flowers, masking off the first one before stamping the second. I stamped the first layer in yellow, the second in orange and the top layer and outline in red. Then I masked off both flowers to stamp the leaves.

I stamped the sentiment, matted it, popped it up with some foam squares and added a bow.

Supplies used:
Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set
Stampin' Up! Ink - Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait, Certainly Celery, Old Olive
Studio g ink- Red
Inkadinkado Stamping Mask paper

Daffodils

This week the StampTV MIUM challenge - What's That You Say? asked us to be inspired by a quote. I chose the poem I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud by William Wordsworth. Here is the first stanza:

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

I am also entering this in the StampTV Kit Addicts Group Color Challenge. We had to choose from 5 specific colours plus black and white.

I learned this poem in school and it's one of my favourites. This stamp looks like "a host of golden daffodils". I chose to use the colours Wild Dandelion, Fresh Asparagus, Turquoise Sea, Black and White.

I stamped the daffodils on white cardstock. After applying the ink pads to the acrylic block I used a waterbrush to paint the image. The fresh asparagus didn't seem to keep its green colour and turned brownish. I went over it again but the result was the same. I did a light wash of blue around the flowers.

On blue cardstock I stamped the daffodil image twice with blue ink for a tone on tone look. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock and heat embossed it in white.

I adhered the layers onto a white card base and popped up the sentiment with foam squares. I added clear Wink of Stella onto the flowers for some sparkle.

Materials used:
Gina K. Designs: Sending Love, Birthday Blessings stamp sets

Krafty card

This is a card I made for the StampTV MIUM challenge - Color me Krafty (we were challenged to use white pencil to highlight our stamped images on kraft cardstock) and the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge - Make your own Background.

I stamped the flower and leaves on kraft cardstock and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I used coloured pencils to add the colour and white highlights. For the background, I stamped birthday sentiments with kraft ink onto kraft cardstock and matted it before attaching it to a kraft card base. I used a square stitched die to cut a layer for my focal image and popped it up with foam squares.

Supplies used:

Gina K. Designs: Happy Birthday to You and Birthday Blessings stamp sets
                          Coordinating dies
Sweet Mango, Applemint and Kraft ink
                          Sweet Mango cardstock

Bleaching and Colouring

I made this card for the Mod Squad Challenge - Bleaching with Color. We had to bleach an image and then colour it.

I started with a piece of black cardstock and stamped the solid flower and leaf images with bleach. Once they had dried, I stamped the outline stamps over the bleached areas. I coloured them in with coloured pencils, cut the image out with a stitched die and matted it.

On a piece of red cardstock, I stamped the butterfly images in VersaMark, heat embossed them with clear embossing powder and foiled them in gold. I attached the focal image and popped up the sentiment with foam squares. Than I adhered it all to a white card base.
