Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Card #9
Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Card #8
I made a slimline card for the 2024 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.
Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Card #7
I used a cute snow globe on my next card for the 2024 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.
The snow globe die is by Craftmania Dies. I cut it out twice and cut out the middle of one of them. I blended some blue ink, whatever was on my blending brush, on the background. I cut a small hill out of white cardstock and added it near the bottom.
I stamped and die cut the penguins and cocoa cups, from the Gina K. Designs Playful Penguins set, and coloured them with Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers.
I stamped the sentiment, from the Gina K. Designs Winter Terrain stamp set, on the front layer.
To assemble, I added some acetate on the back of the front layer, and adhered some foam tape all around the snow globe. On the background, I glued some snowflakes from the Picket Fence Studios Icicles Sequin mix, and added some Mica Flakes before taping the front panel onto the background.
I added the penguins on the front along with the cocoa cups.

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Card #5
My next card for the 2024 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop uses the Rabbit Cafe stamp set by Penguin Palace (now Sunbird Spark).
I stamped, coloured and then cut out the image with the coordinating die.
I masked off the diagonal stripe, stamped the snowflakes, from the Gina K. Designs Sparkling Snowflake stamp set, with VersaMark ink and heat embossed them with Silver embossing powder. I added a strip of Scor-Tape on both sides and added Crystal Glitter Ritz Transparent Micro Fine Glitter (Cool Highlight).
I stamped the sentiment and popped up the die cut image with some foam squares.

November Scor-Pal Project
Step 1:
With the 9 3/4” side of the cardstock at the top of your Scor-Pal, score at 1 1/2”, 3”, 4 1/2”, 6”, 7 1/2” and 9”.
Turn the cardstock 90 degrees and score at 1 1/2” and 7”.
Step 2:
With the long edge at the top, cut along the score lines from the bottom up to the horizontal score line. Repeat along the top edge. Trim off the top and bottom sections in the 3/4” flap.
To make the top and bottom flaps fit better when folded, measure 1/2” from each cut line along the bottom and cut off a triangle on each tab. Repeat for the top edge. You will end up with the following shape.
Step 3:
Crease along all the score lines. Add Scor-Tape along the long tab on the right, and on the top and bottom tabs as shown in the picture.
Step
4:
Add Scor-Tape to the patterned pieces and tape them to the cardstock.
Step 5:
Remove the liner from the tape on the right side tab and attach it to the inside of the left hand side to make a cylinder shape.
Step 6:
Fold in the tabs on the bottom, starting with the tab to the left of the tab without any tape. Remove the tape liner as you go and attach each tab to the one below it.
If desired, punch a 2” circle from the patterned paper or cardstock and tape it to the bottom.
Step 7:
Place the item you are gifting inside the box and then fasten the top in the same manner as the bottom.
Decorate with ribbon and a bow, if desired.

Gina K. Designs September Challenge
The Gina K. Designs September 2024 Monthly Mix Challenge is to make your own metallic cardstock. We can use things like embossing powder, foil, metallic paint or metallic ink.
I chose to use foil on my card.
I started with a piece of cardstock and blended Applemint, Turquiose Sea, and Bubblegum Pink ink on it. I used the background die in the Floral Banner Die Set to cut out the shape.
Using a Deco Foil Toner sheet, I made a piece of foiled cardstock with Silver Sequins foil. I then cut out the detailed design with the Floral Banner Die and glued it on to the back layer with Connect Glue.
On another piece of cardstock, I used the Harvest Flourish Stencil with Soft Stone ink to create a faint background. I stamped the sentiment, from the Birthday Blessings stamp set, with Obsisian Amalgam ink, added the floral banner and attached the panel to a piece of Bubblegum Pink cardstock before adding it to a white card base.

September Scor-Pal Project
Scor-Pal
Scor-Tape
The Stacker
Heavy weight Cardstock – 2 pieces of 8 1/2” x 10 1/2”
3 pieces of 8 1/2” x 11”
If you wish to add any stamping to your cardstock, do it before you start scoring. I used the Stampin’ Up! Crosshatch background stamp, using Stampin’ Up! Melon Mambo ink, and stamped it several times to cover each of the 5 sheets. When scoring, have the decorated side facing up.
Using one piece of 8 1/2” x 10 1/2” cardstock, with the long edge at the top of your Scor-Pal, score at 4”, 4 1/2”, 5”, 5 1/2”, 6”, 6 1/2”, 7”, 7 1/2”, 8”, 8 1/2” and 10”. Turn it 90° to the right and score at 1/2” and 5 1/2”.
For the second piece, score at 1 1/2”, 2”, 2 1/2”, 3”, 3 1/2”, 4”, 4 1/2”, 5”, 5 1/2”, 6” and 10”. Turn it 90° to the right and score at 1/2” and 5 1/2”.
Crease all the score lines, and firmly crease the 1/2” and 5 1/2” lines and the 10” lines.
For each piece, hold the cardstock so the 1/2” score lines are at the top and at the left. Trim off the small square at the top left hand corner. Cut up from the bottom along the score lines to the 5 1/2” line. Trim off the bottom left flap.
Trim off a bit of the large 4” bottom flap so it will fold more easily. Refer to the pictures for placement.
Turn each piece over, and add Scor-Tape along the top 1/2” flap and along the left edge above the 5 1/2” score line.
Remove the liner from the Scor-Tape on the left side of one piece and attach it to the right flap on the other piece. Repeat to attach the other sides together. Remove the liner from the Scor-Tape on the top flap and fold to the inside.
Step 5
Turn the box over and fold in the flaps. Temporarily tape the flaps once you have the heart shape you want. Trace the heart shape twice on one sheet of 8 1/2” by 11” cardstock, cut them out and attach Scor-Tape to the wrong side of each.
Make sure one of them will fit inside your box – you will need to make this one a bit smaller.
Step 6
Remove the temporary tape and tape the cut out hearts to the bottom of the box, both outside and inside.
Step 7
Cut one of the 8 1/2” x 11” pieces of cardstock in half to make two pieces measuring 4 1/4” x 11”. Place one in your Scor-Pal and score at 4 1/2”, 5”, 5 1/2”, 6”, 6 1/2”, 7”, 7 1/2”, 8”, 8 1/2” and 10 1/2”. Turn it 90° to the right and score at 1/2” and 1 1/2”.
For the second piece, score at 2”, 2 1/2”, 3”, 3 1/2”, 4”, 4 1/2”, 5”, 5 1/2”, 6” and 10 1/2”. Turn it 90° to the right and score at 1/2” and 1 1/2”.
Crease all score lines and firmly crease the 1/2” and 1 1/2” lines and the 10 1/2” lines.
Trim the top left square where the two 1/2” score lines meet, and add Scor-Tape to the same areas as the box bottom.
Step 8
Assemble the top the same way as the bottom of the box.
Step 9
Trace two hearts on the remaining piece of 8 1/2” x 11” and attach as before.
Step 10
Decorate as desired.
