Masking Magic Strips

I have another card for the Gina K. Designs Monthly Mix challenge (on the Gina K Designs & Stamp TV Friends Facebook page), where we are to use Masking Magic strips on our project. I am getting in under the wire, as the challenge ends in about 2 hours!

I used 1/4" strips of Masking Magic, and placed them in a lattice pattern on my cardstock. Then I stamped the Petite Flourish Background stamp, with Light Lilac ink, and blended a bit of the ink onto the background. Then I removed the strips to reveal the pattern.

The stamps, leaves and sentiment are from the Layered Carnation stamp set, and are cut out with the coordinating dies. They are stamped with Light Lilac, Medium Lilac, Dark Lilac, Light Spruce and Medium Spruce ink.

All the above supplies are from Gina K. Designs.

Penguin Palace Challenge #25

Here's a card I made for the Penguin Palace Challenge #25. We have the following sketch for inspiration.

I used the Penguin Palace (PP) Plaid Floral Fun Stencils 360°  to make the background. I cut it down to fill the top of the card, and cut a narrow strip from plain cardstock for the bottom. The sentiment is from the PP An Amazing Friend stamp set, and the cute penguin is from the PP Penguin Agenda stamp set, which was cut out with the coordinating die.

I layered the two pieces on some kraft cardstock and attached that to a white card base.

Window Scene

I made this card for a challenge on the Gina K. Designs and Stamp TV Friends Facebook page. We need to use Masking Magic Strips in some way on our card.

I cut strips of Masking Magic, and adhered them to the edges of a piece of cardstock, as well as the halfway points, both horizontally and vertically. Using Jelly Bean Green, Turquoise Sea, and Wild Wisteria ink, I created an ink blended background. Then, I stamped the images and sentiment, from the Summer Silhouettes stamp set, with Obsidian Amalgam ink. I stamped the flowers with coloured ink, because black flowers didn't seem right!

Once I removed the Masking Magic Strips, I attached the panel to a Turquoise Sea cardstock, and added this to a white card base.

All my supplies are from Gina K. Designs.

May Scor-Pal More Than One Score

For my May project, I have a card with a double curtain fold.

To make this card, you will need:
double sided patterned paper - 5 3/8" x 10"
cardstock - 5 3/4" x 8 1/2"

With the 10" side of the patterned paper at the top, score at 1", 1 1/2", 2 1/2", 3", 4", 4 1/2", 5 1/2", 6", 7", 7 1/2", 8 1/2", and 9". On both short sides, make a mark at 2 3/16" and 3 3/16". Then draw a line from the 2 3/16" mark on the left side to the 4 1/2" score line at the top. Repeat on the right side to the 5 1/2" score line. Next, draw lines from the 3 3/16" marks to the 4 1/2" and 5 1/2" score lines at the bottom.

Once all the lines are drawn, cut along the lines, and fold along the score lines. You can decide which side of the patterned paper you want on top.

Then, using your Scor-Tape and the Stacker, tape down all the folds.

Score and fold the cardstock to make your card base, and attach the patterned paper, along with another layer, if you want. Then you can add your sentiment and embellishments.
