Card With Coordinating Tag

I made this card and coordinating tag for the StampTV Kit Addicts Group Challenge - Card & Tag.

I decided to use the Painted Autumn multi-layer flower image since it comes in two sizes. I could use the large one for the card and the small one for the tag. I decided on my colours, stamped the flowers onto the squares, sponged the edges and matted them with navy cardstock. I stamped the sentiments and sponged and matted them as well. After cutting the white cardstock to make the base and tag I punch the edges with a border punch and attached navy cardstock behind it. Using a stencil I inked the background. I attached a piece of ribbon to the card and tag, attached the flower images and popped up the sentiments with foam squares. I then attached a piece of embroidery floss to the tag.

Thankful Joy Fold card

The StampTV MIUM challenge this week is to make a Thankful Joy Fold card. A joy fold card is a specific way of folding the cardstock. We had to make it a Thanksgiving or a Thank You card.

The hardest part of making this card was picking out the patterned paper to use. I had so many nice ones to choose from.

I cut my base to 4 1/4 x 7 3/4 inches and scored it at 5 1/2 inches. I cut a piece of patterned paper to fit the inside and another one to fit the front part of the card base. I cut another piece of cardstock for the top folding piece 3 x 6 inches, scored at 3 inches. I folded that one so that it opens on the left. I stamped the sentiment and used a square stitched die to cut it out and another one to cut a mat. I attached both of these onto the top folding piece and adhered this to my card base. I then added a piece of ribbon to tuck in the top fold. Here is an picture of it open.

Materials used:
Gina K. Designs: Sweet Mango cardstock
Made With Love patterned paper and stamp set
Cottage Cutz Stitched Square Set dies
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
ribbon and white cardstock from my stash

Tree-mendous card

This week, the StampTV MIUM challenge is to have a tree on your card.

Starting with a white piece of cardstock, I stamped the tree three times, stamping off before I stamped the third image. I added the sentiment and a piece of ribbon before matting it with some black cardstock. I covered the card base with the patterned paper and layered the front panel on top. To finish it off, I added some Stickles for the ornaments.

I used the following supplies:
Gina K. Designs: Fresh Asparagus and Red Velvet ink
                             Sentimental Holiday stamp set
                             Cold Snap patterned paper
Stickles - Christmas Red
ribbon and black and white cardstock from my stash

Gold Foiled Card

I made a card for two challenges this week. The StampTV MIUM challenge is to have some sort of foiling on our card and the Mod Squad Blog challenge is to have some gold on our card.

I always find cards with foil very difficult to photograph and this time was no exception! Using a piece of red cardstock as a background, I stamped the snowflake with VersaMark ink, heat embossed it with clear embossing powder and ran it through my laminator with the gold foil. I cut an oval, stamped the sentiment and matted it with a black, scalloped oval. I die cut the bow and assembled it. I cut a piece of gold foil paper and layered it on the background, which I matted with black and attached to a cream card base. I used my Wink of Stella marker and gave the bow and the ovals a nice sparkle. I attached the ovals and then used a glue dot to adhere the bow.

I used the following supplies:

Gina K. Designs: Snow Frame and Sentimental Holiday stamp sets
                             Red Velvet cardstock
