Glitter card

This card is for the Release Party challenge - Sparkle and Shine. We had to use glitter of some sort on our card. I may have gone overboard!!

I stamped the daffodil image on a piece of white cardstock. I used a glue pen to add glue to some parts of the image and added one colour of glitter. Then I repeated this for each colour. I added some patterned paper and matted it with some green cardstock before adhering it to a white card base.

Supplies used:
Gina K. Designs: Sending Love stamp set and patterned paper; Green Grass and White cardstock
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Zig 2 way glue pen
Martha Stewart glitter: Emerald, Peridot, Yellow Barite, Golden Beryl

Coloured Shaker Card

I am getting this in just under the wire. This is for the StampTV Kit Addicts challenge -Use Acetate. I am also entering it in the StampTV MIUM challenge - Color Me.

I started with a piece of white cardstock, stamped all over to make a background and then coloured it. I used coloured pencils and odorless mineral spirits to smooth out the colour. I adhered the background to a card base and added the shaker items. I used foam tape around the edges and added the frame. I cut out the word 'thanks' three times with my Cameo, glued them together, coloured them black and fastened it to the front of the card.

I used the following products:
Gina K. Designs Sending Love stamp set; White and Wild Lilac card stock
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Crayola Twistable Coloured Pencils
Spectrum Noir Alcohol marker - True Black
Cameo - Black Fat script font
Odorless paint thinner
Sookwang tape

Christmas Card with Acetate

This week's card is for the challenge StampTV MIUM Christmas in July.

I haven't worked much with acetate so it took a couple of tries to get it right. I was just using spare packaging so one curled up completely and even this one initially wrinkled but when I continued to heat it the acetate flattened out again.

I stamped the acetate with Versamark, sprinkled embossing powder and heated. On my card base I stamped the sentiment also in Versamark and embossed it. I adhered the acetate with foam squares that I cut into tiny pieces to hide behind the snowflakes. I used Clear Wink of Stella on the snowflakes to give them some shine. (but of course it doesn't show up well in the picture!)

Materials used:
Gina K. Designs: Sentimental Holiday stamp set and Cranberry Tart cardstock
piece of packaging
Versamark ink
Recollections Detail Embossing Powder - Snow
Clear Wink of Stella pen
foam squares from my stash

One Flower

This week on StampTV MIUM, the challenge is to have only one flower on your card.

The background for this card was made from the leftover material of the card I made in February, shown here.

I stamped the flower, coloured it with alcohol markers and cut it out. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out. I then went over the edge of both pieces with an alcohol marker to create a pink edge. I attached both pieces with some foam tape and coloured the flower with Wink of Stella to give it some sparkle. Here is a close up of the flower:

Materials used:
Gina K Designs: Delicate Essentials patterned paper
                            Especially for You stamp set
White cardstock for the card base
Spectrum Noir: Ultra Smooth White cardstock
                          Alcohol markers: PP1, PP4, CR6, CT3

Rainbow Flowers

This week's challenge on StampTV was Fantasy Flowers. We were to colour out flowers any way we wanted.

I decided to colour my flowers in a rainbow pattern because I love rainbows.

I stamped the flowers, cut them out with the coordinating die and coloured them with alcohol markers. I took another piece of white cardstock and embossed it. I stamped the sentiment and matted it.

I adhered two of the flowers to a piece of black cardstock and popped up the other one with foam squares. I then adhered the black to the top of a green mat, added the white embossed piece to the bottom and taped a piece of ribbon where they joined. I popped up the sentiment with some more foam squares and added it all to a black card base.

Materials used:
Gina K. Designs: Fabulous Frame and Birthday Blessings stamp sets
                             Coordinating die (Birthday Blessings)
                             Applemint, White, and Black cardstock

Cuttlebug embossing folder - Baby's Breath
Spectrum Noir alcohol markers: DR2, DR5, OR2, OR3, CT3, CT4, LG4, LG5, TB4, TB5, PL3, PL4

Friend Always card

Today I have a card that I made for the Mod Squad challenge - Nautical. I am also entering it in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes.

I started with a piece of one of the foiling pages in the Sending Love StampTV kit. I thought it looked like bubbles underwater. I foiled it with a mint coloured foil, but it's hard to see in the picture. I sponged this with green and blue ink. I stamped some of the 'seaweed' directly on the background but it didn't show up very well, so I stamped it onto some white cardstock and fussy cut it. I stamped the fish and fussy cut that as well. I stamped the sentiment, die cut it and sponged it while it was still in the die. I ran the seaweed and fish through my Xyron sticker maker and adhered it to the background. I adhered the sentiment and attached the background to a white card base.

I used the following supplies:

Gina K. Designs: foiling sheet from the Sending Love StampTV kit
                             Fabulous Frame stamp set
Blue Lagoon, Grass Green and Prickly Pear ink
                             White cardstock
Heidi Swapp Minc foil - Mint
Inkadinkado stamps - seaweed and fish
Xyron sticker maker
Sizzix/ Tim Holtz Celebrate stamp and die set
Purple Cows laminator
Tombow Mono Adhesive

Birthday Quilt card

Today I have a card that I made for two challenges: StampTV MIUM - Happy Birthday to You and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes.

I decided to make a 'quilt' with some patterned paper and cardstock. I cut out triangles and then put them together to create the pattern. Once I had them where I wanted I glued them to a piece of paper, trimmed the paper and matted it with some black cardstock. I adhered this to a white card base.

I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock and matted it with black. I wrapped a piece of ribbon around the card base and covered the ends with the sentiment, which was attached with some foam squares. To give the look of stitching, I drew dashed lines on the quilt with a white pen.

I used the following supplies:

Gina K. Designs: Delicate Essentials patterned paper
                             Birthday Blessings stamp set
Prickly Pear, Green Grass, Cranberry Tart, White and Black cardstock
                             Prickly Pear ink
Ranger White Opaque pen
Tombow Mono Adhesive
foam squares and ribbon from my stash
