I always need a few boxes for Christmas presents, and this one is a quick and easy one to make.
It opens like a pizza box and holds a small, flat gift. The finished dimension is 4" square and 1" tall.
To make this box you will need:
Cardstock: 1 piece 6" x 11"
Patterned paper: 2 pieces 3 3/4" x 3 3/4"
4 pieces 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Any other embellishments you wish to add
Step 1:
With the 11" side at the top, score at 1", 5", 6" and 10". Turn the cardstock 90° and score at 1" and 5". Cut along the score lines as shown in the picture below. I slant my cut lines slightly to make a narrow V shape and find it easier to fold and tape the box. Fold along all the score lines.
Step 2:
Add Scor-Tape to the 4 end tabs, and tape your patterned paper onto the box as shown below. The end with the paper on all of the sides will be the top of your box.
Step 3:
Remove the tape liner from one end, fold the flaps in, and attach the tabs to the inside of the side flaps. Repeat with the other end.
The outside of the box.
Your box is finished and ready for you to add your gift.
