Penguin Palace Challenge #42

This month, the Penguin Palace Challenge #42 is a Fall Moodboard.

Here is the card I made.

I used the Scents of Fall Stencils 360° stencil, and blended Gina K Designs Faded Brick, Honey Mustard, Dark Chocolate, Warm Glow Amalgam, and Skeleton Leaves Amalgam ink through it, turning the stencil 60° each time. I thought the maple leaves looked a little too red for the colour palette, so I added a bit of Dark Chocolate over them.

The sentiment is from the Birthday Wishes stamp set, stamped with Gina K Designs Obsidian Amalgam ink, and cut out with the coordinating die. To make the shadow layer, I used the same die with brown cardstock, cut it in half horizontally and added the pieces to the top and bottom on the back of the sentiment.

I layered the stencilled panel with some brown cardstock and adhered this to a white card base.

October Scor-Pal Project

This month I have a quick and easy card to show you. It is called a Z fold card.

To make this card, you will need:
Scor-Tape
Cardstock base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"

Supplies to decorate your card. I used Gina K. Designs Peaceful Violets stamp set and dies, So Many Sentiments stamp set, Obsidian Amalgam ink, Wild Dandelion ink, Spectrum Noir markers.

Step 1
With the long edge of the cardstock at the top of your Scor-Buddy, score at 4 1/4". Flip the cardstock over and score at 2 1/8". It is easy to find that measurement, as there is a circle on the Scor-Buddy.

Step 2
Fold the cardstock along the score lines, placing the bump on the inside of each fold.

Step 3
To decorate, use an image that is large enough to cover most of the front of the card. If you don't have a large image, use a square, circle or other shape as a background.

The large image will cover part of the inside of the card, so you can stamp your sentiment there or write a message.

I blended some ink on the top flap and stamped some of the images in the same ink.

Step 4
Tape the large image onto the top flap, making sure to only put tape on the top half of the image. Decorate the inside of the card, if you wish.
