Flowers and Bling

Today I made a card for a few challenges: StampTV Monthly Mix - Rainbow Stenciling; Mod Squad challenge - Florals-Pop up and Bling; and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - Use more than one Stamp.

I started by stencilling on a piece of white cardstock with a rainbow of colours. I didn't want to lose any of the center of the design, so I cut it in half and trimmed it down so it would fit on the black piece, cut to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8", and leaving a strip of black showing in the middle.

I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it in white. I cut out the flower shapes with the die and then stamped the flowers and stems.

I adhered the black piece onto a white card base, attached everything else and popped the flowers up with some foam squares.

I used the following supplies:
Gina K. Designs: Ink: Red Hot, Sweet Mango, Wild Dandelion, Jelly Bean Green, Turquoise Sea,                                          Wild Lilac, Peach Bellini
                            Birthday Blessings stamp set
Layered Daisies Stamp set with coordinating die

White layering weight cardstock
VersaMark ink
white embossing powder, black cardstock,
stencil, rhinestones, foam squares from my stash

Another Thank You Card

This is the second thank you card I made. I am also entering it in the following challenges:  StampTV Monthly Mix - Rainbow StencilingSimon Says Stamp Monday challenge - Stencil It; and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - Stencil It.

I stencilled the background onto a piece of white cardstock. I matted it with black and attached it to a white card base.

I had made two of the large sentiment for the last card so I used the second one on this card. (I had stamped it, heat embossed it, foiled it with silver and matted it with black.) I attached this to the card and added a few rhinestones to finish it off.

I used the following supplies:
Gina K. Designs: Massive Messages Stamp set
Ink: Dusty Rose, Peach Bellini, Lemon Drop, Applemint, Powder Blue, Lovely                                              Lavender
                            Silver Sequins Fancy Foil
                            White cardstock
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
stencil, clear embossing powder, black cardstock, rhinestones from my stash

Stencilled Thank You Card

I needed to make a couple of thank you cards so I decided to use a stencil and enter the following challenges: StampTV Monthly Mix - Rainbow Stenciling; Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge - Stencil It; and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - Stencil It.

I started with a piece of white cardstock, taped the stencil down and sponged with a rainbow of soft colours. I matted this with a piece of black cardstock and attached it to a white card base.

I stamped the large sentiment and heat embossed it in clear. I cut it out using my electronic cutting machine and also cut out a mat in black. I used a laminating machine to foil the sentiment, layered it onto the mat and attached it to the card. I tied a bow onto a button and adhered it to the card with a Glue Dot.

I used the following supplies:
Gina K. Designs: Massive Messages Stamp set
Ink: Dusty Rose, Peach Bellini, Lemon Drop, Applemint, Powder Blue, Lovely                                             Lavender
                            Silver Sequins Fancy Foil
                            White cardstock
Memento Tuxedo Black ink

Tone on Tone

There was a new release from Gina K. Designs this week and we are asked to make a Tone on Tone card for the Release Party Challenge. I am also entering this in the Mod Squad Challenge - Love and Support. We are to make a supportive card and it must have purple ribbon on it.

All products are Gina K. Designs unless specified.

I started with a piece of Wild Lilac cardstock and stamped the flourish randomly with Wild Wisteria ink to make a background.

I stamped the flowers onto a piece of white cardstock with Wild Lilac ink and the outline with Edible Eggplant, which is a very dark purple. I cut them out with the matching dies.

I stamped the sentiment with Wild Wisteria and cut it out with a die from my stash. I sponged around the edge, also with Wild Wisteria.

Since I didn’t have any purple ribbon, I used a piece of white ribbon from my stash and coloured it by rubbing the Wild Wisteria ink pad over it.

After the ribbon was dry, I adhered it to the background with Tombow Mono adhesive and then attached that to a white card base. I added the sentiment and one of the flowers and then used foam squares from my stash to adhere the other two flowers.

Stenciled Rainbow Card

This month, there is a fun challenge at StampTV. The Monthly Mix challenge is to use stencils and a rainbow of colors. I am also entering this card in the Mod Squad challenge - How Charming. We need to use a charm on our project.

This card came together pretty quickly. I first had to pick out my rainbow of colours and once that was done I sponged them through the stencil that was taped onto the white cardstock. I matted this with black and attached it to a white cardbase.

I stamped the sentiment by inking up only a portion with each colour and used my homemade stamp positioner to stamp it in the same place. I then embossed it with clear embossing powder. I flagged the ends and matted it with black. I attached the charm with some baker's twine and adhered the sentiment to the background.

I used the following supplies:
Gina K. Designs: Ink: Red Hot, Sweet Mango, Wild Dandelion, Jelly Bean Green, Turquoise Sea,                                          Wild Lilac
Art from the Heart stamp set
                            White layering weight cardstock
clear embossing powder, charm, stencil, black cardstock, baker’s twine from my stash
